Submission: We are open to take applications from 0800Hrs to 1200hrs & 1230 to 1630 Hrs. Please note that submission between 1500 Hrs to 1600 Hrs will be by appointment only. Please call or e-mail if you wish to make an appointment.
Collection: Passports can be collected between 1530 hrs and 1630 hrs only. Please check the status of your passport before coming to the VAC through our online tracking service, call center or by availing the optional SMS service while submitting your application to avoid any inconvenience. Applicants who require their passports before the normal collection time due to travel or any emergency, they need to show the travel evidence in order to get the passports before the collection timings.
For straightforward applications the Embassy aims to make a decision within 24 hrs and decisions on these will generally be available for collection from the VAC from 1530 hrs on the working day after you submit your application. Non-straightforward applications may take up to 15 working days. As a general rule applications for anything other than a visit visa, and those from applicants who have not visited the UK before will be non-straightforward and are likely to take longer than 24 hours.

Note: Passports are usually available for collection after 3.00pm on the
day following submission. But the Embassy may take longer to deal with some
applications so we recommend that you confirm with us that your passport is
back with us before you come to the VAC to collect. You can do this either by
telephone or using our online tracking facility.
The VAC can get very crowded at peak collection time between 3.30pm and 4.30
pm. If you want to avoid the crowds you will find it much quieter to collect
your passport the next morning anytime from 9 am onwards. Alternatively you can
save a second visit to the VAC and use our courier return service. Please ask
at the desk when you submit your application.
